Stephanie Wilson is the former Chair of the ASID Austin Design Community. After receiving a bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts for Interior Design, from Texas Tech University, she was one of the first 23 Interior Designers to receive professional registration status in the State of Texas.
Stephanie enjoys providing her clients with warm, comfortable, livable spaces that are elegant yet inviting, reflecting and supporting her client’s personal lifestyle and character. Well traveled, she is influenced by the mix of old and new seen in time-honored cultures. Her style is defined by the use of traditional elements mixed with pieces possessing modern, clean lines for a casual and timeless look. She finds inspiration from things that occur instinctively in nature and has a special affinity for French styled decorative items and furniture.
Enjoying all aspects of the design process, Stephanie is especially intrigued with designing millwork, providing good traffic flow between rooms and planning for ample amounts of storage. She likes the challenge of incorporating existing owner pieces and in enhancing and furthering the treasured collections of her clients. Her rooms are filled with natural light and have a strong connection to the outdoors. She believes that every window should become a vignette, with pleasing views of the outside as you move throughout the home. She has a well-trained eye for exquisite detail that she delights in providing with her millwork, upholstery, window treatments and furniture.
Stephanie is talented in both the residential and contract sides of Interior Design. After working fourteen years in the corporate world of design, Stephanie finds true inspiration in designing for residential spaces as well. She is the principal of Stephanie Wilson Interior Design, which she founded in Austin Texas, in 2004.
